Normally Tuesdays are the days when free agents work out for NFL teams, but the Lions made an exception and welcomed former Vikings WR Laquon Treadwell to Allen Park on Wednesday for a workout.
Treadwell was the Vikings’ first-round pick in 2016 but quickly proved not worthy of that lofty status. He caught just one pass as a rookie and ended his three seasons in Minnesota with 56 receptions and one career TD. He brought size and blocking but proved that being able to make contested catches in college only means a receiver isn’t very good at getting open.
Treadwell did not immediately sign with the Lions. He previously worked out for the Buffalo Bills earlier this week.
