Lions’ Week 9 Player of the Game: Kenny Golladay

We almost got to witness a Captain Comeback performance from Matthew Stafford but instead, the Detroit Lions dropped a heartbreaker in The Blackhole, as the Lions fell 31-24 to the Oakland Raiders.

Today’s Player of the Game is going to go to the birthday boy, wide receiver Kenny Golladay.

The 3rd year receiver had a stellar day with 132 yards on four catches, including a 59 yard touchdown that gave the Lions a 14-10 lead early in the first half.

Golladay narrowly edged out Marvin Jones, Jr., who also had a stand out day, and he deserves an honorable mention. The veteran receiver had eight catches for 126 yards and he added a touchdown to the mix as well.

Despite those two having a stellar game, both were on the sideline for the last play of the Lions drive.

Go figure.
