Lions Week 7 injury designations: Mike Daniels and Amani Oruwariye ruled out

The Detroit Lions have released their injury designations for their Week 7 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings. There are no real surprises to this designations list with two obvious players ruled out and a few others who appear headed for game day decisions.

Mike Daniels, Amani Oruwariye ruled OUT

Mike Daniels (foot) and Amani Oruwariye (knee) have not been able to practice at all this week, so it’s no surprise that they have been declared out for this week’s game. Until either is able to see time on the practice field, their timetable to return to game action remains unknown.

Da’Shawn Hand questionable

When will Da’Shawn Hand (elbow) return to the field? This has been a question on every injury report for the last month — and we still don’t have a strong indication towards an answer.

Hand appears very close to returning, and after putting in his first full practice of the regular season, this could be the week. We will find out his status for the game when the team announces their inactives list around 11:30 a.m. EST on Sunday.

Rick Wagner questionable

Wagner (knee) has been limited this week in practices but signs are pointing towards him playing — including him participating fully in practice on Friday.

Quandre Diggs questionable

After missing last week’s game, Quandre Diggs (hamstring) looks on track to play against the Vikings. His final status will also likely be decided on Sunday.

Darius Slay questionable

Slay (hamstring) was limited all last week with a hamstring injury but played his full allotment of snaps in the game. This week, he has once again been limited all week and expectations are that he will be able to play a full complement of snaps.

Nick Bawden questionable

It’s usually not a good sign when a player is added to the injury report mid-week, but that’s exactly where we are with Bawden (back). After practicing in full Wednesday and Thursday, he had a limited practice on Friday. We shouldn’t read too much into this at this time, but he could be headed for a game-time decision.

Not listed with an injury designation

A’Shawn Robinson (knee) and Logan Thomas (shoulder) were limited on Wednesday but returned to full practices on Thursday and Friday. They should both be available to play on Sunday.

Matthew Stafford (hip) has now completed two weeks of full practices with his hip injury, and just like last week, he does not carry an injury designation into the weekend. He’s good to go.
