Lions Week 6 inactives: Quandre Diggs ruled OUT

The Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers have declared their seven inactives players for their Week 6 matchup on “Monday Night Football”.

Here are the Lions inactive players:

DL Mike Daniels (foot) — Ruled OUT Saturday
DL Da’Shawn Hand (elbow) — Downgraded to OUT on Sunday
S Quandre Diggs (hamstring)
CB Amani Oruwariye (knee) — Ruled OUT Saturday
OG Oday Aboushi
OG Beau Benzschawel
QB David Blough

With both Daniels and Hand ruled out this week, the Lions are left with only three interior defensive linemen, Damon Harrison, A’Shawn Robinson (who is working through a knee injury) and Kevin Strong. With stifling the Packers run game being a priority, look for the Lions to utilize Trey Flowers at both defensive end and at the 3-technique.

With Diggs out, the Lions will likely turn to Tavon Wilson to start opposite Tracy Walker, but we are likely to see third-round rookie Will Harris quite a bit as well.

The backup quarterback spot is getting clearer with Blough being a healthy scratch, Jeff Driskel will be Matthew Stafford’s primary backup.

The Packers have declared the following players inactive

WR Davante Adams (toe) — Ruled OUT Saturday
S Darnell Savage (ankle) — Ruled OUT Saturday
TE Robert Tonyan (hip) — Ruled OUT Saturday
CB Tony Brown (hamstring)
RB Dexter Williams
G Cole Madison
OL Adam Pankey

Adams began the season on a tear but his toe injury will keep him out of this game and his loss will be a big blow to the Packers group of skill players.

Losing Savage is arguably equally as significant as his rookie season has gotten off to a great start. His absence should open up opportunities for Lions rookie tight end T.J. Hockenson to make some noise.
