Lions Week 2 inactives list: LT Taylor Decker ruled OUT

The Detroit Lions enter their Week 2 matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers relatively healthy overall, but they’re not immune to the injury bug and have ruled starting left tackle Taylor Decker OUT for this week’s game.

With Decker ruled out, next up on the comprehensive depth chart is second-year offensive lineman Tyrell Crosby. Crosby had a solid rookie season filling in for both Decker and Rick Wagner at tackle, but this offseason/preseason has been full of injury and disappointment. He has struggled with his anchor and taken bad angles on a regular basis. The talent is there — we have seen it — but he needs to rediscover it quickly.

Here’s a look at the rest of the Lions inactives:

OG Beau Benzschawel
QB David Blough
MIKE Jarrad Davis (ankle)
LT Taylor Decker (back)
WR Travis Fulgham
DL Da’Shawn Hand (elbow)
CB Amani Oruwariye

No Davis means rookie Jahlani Tavai will get the start at MIKE linebacker. Hands absence means another opportunity for undrafted free agent Kevin Strong.

While the Lions have most of their starters accounted for, the Chargers are down several key members. Here’s a look at their inactives:

QB Easton Stick
K Michael Badgley
CB Roderic Teamer
CB Michael Davis
LB Jatavis Brown
TE Hunter Henry
DT Cortez Broughton
