Lions trade Quandre Diggs to Seahawks for draft pick

DETROIT _ The Detroit Lions traded safety Quandre Diggs and a 2021 seventh-round draft pick to the Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.

The Lions will receive a fifth-round pick in the 2020 draft in the deal, the NFL Network reported.

Diggs was in his fifth season with the Lions after being drafted by the franchise in the sixth round of the 2015 draft. He started five games for the Lions (2-3-1) this season.

After the trade was announced, Darius Slay, the Lions' Pro Bowl cornerback, tweeted: "This some bull---- here."

Slay has played for the Lions since 2013.
