Lions sign OT Bobby Hart, release LS Jake McQuaide

The Detroit Lions had the day off on Monday, but the team was still busy. The Lions have signed veteran offensive tackle Bobby Hart to the 90-man roster.

Hart, who turns 29 later this month, is entering his ninth NFL season. He spent most of 2022 with the Buffalo Bills as their top swing tackle. Hart has over 50 games of starting experience across time with the Giants, Bengals, Titans and Bills.

To make room for Hart, the Lions released long snapper Jake McQuaide. That means the battle for long snapper is over and Scott Daly will hold the gig for another season.
