Lions sign DT Fredrick Jones, waive WR Brandon Reilly

The Detroit Lions announced a change at the bottom of the 90-man roster before Tuesday’s training camp practice session. Detroit has signed defensive tackle Fredrick Jones to the active roster.

Jones is an undrafted rookie from Florida State. The 305-pounder primarily played nose tackle for the Seminoles. He spent rookie minicamp with the New York Jets but was released earlier this week.

At Florida State, Jones was a rotational player along the Seminoles’ deep front. He registered 67 tackles and 2.5 sacks in four years, starting 10 games but playing extensively for most of the final two years.

In a corollary move, the team waived WR Brandon Reilly.
