Tarvarus McFadden, we hardly knew ye…
The Detroit Lions made another move at cornerback, waiving Tarvarus McFadden and replacing him on the active roster with free agent Johnathan Alston.
Alston was last with the Miami Dolphins, where he spent the 2018 offseason after being an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina State. He fits the athletic profile the Bob Quinn Lions continue to prefer at cornerback, big at 6-1 and 205 pounds. He ran the 40 in 4.57 seconds at the NC State pro day back in 2018. Alston also played a lot of special teams in college.
McFadden didn’t even last a week in Detroit. He was waived with injury designation after seeing scant action in his time with the Lions.
