Lions sign Austin Bryant, Ty Johnson, Isaac Nauta and PJ Johnson

After signing three players from their 2019 draft class ahead of rookie minicamp, the Detroit Lions announced that they have signed four more draft picks today, including fourth-round pick EDGE rusher Austin Bryant, sixth-round pick running back Ty Johnson, as well as seventh rounders tight end Isaac Nauta and nose tackle PJ Johnson.

The Lions have now signed seven of their nine draft picks, leaving third-round pick safety Will Harris and sixth-round pick wide receiver Travis Fulgham the only unsigned players on the team’s current 90-man roster.

It should only be a matter of time before they are signed as rookie contracts are not overly complicated anymore and both players have already participated in the Lions offseason program — as we saw in the video from Day 1 of rookie minicamp — and been assigned jersey numbers.

With the final phase of OTA (offseason training activities) set to start next week, don’t be surprised if these remaining contracts are completed this week.
