Lions select WR Travis Fulgham with pick 184 in the sixth round

With the 184th pick in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions select wide receiver Travis Fulgham from Old Dominion.

Fulgham, a Full QIB qualifier, was a three-year starter at the Z-wide receiver but due to his skill set will likely fit better at the X-receiver position in the NFL. He has vertical speed, excellent jumping ability, can high point the ball, and is strong at the catch point, but will struggle to separate from fast corners.

He will likely slide into the depth chart behind Marvin Jones — potentially as the Lions No. 4 receiver — and ahead of Andy Jones and Chris Lacy. With time to develop, he has the potential to grow into a reliable starter down the road.

The Lions hold another pick in the sixth round, No. 186, and then have two remaining picks in the seventh round, picks 224 and 229.
