Lions rule out Riddick, Ebron, Ngata, Levy for Sunday

The Detroit Lions ruled four starters out for Sunday's pivotal matchup against Washington, including starting running back Theo Riddick.

Riddick will miss his second straight game with an ankle injury he suffered in a Week 5 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Either Zach Zenner or rookie Dwayne Washington will start in his place. Washington practiced all week in his return from the ankle injury that kept him out of two games, but is questionable to play Sunday.

Along with Riddick, the Lions ruled tight end Eric Ebron (ankle/knee), defensive tackle Haloti Ngata (shoulder), linebacker DeAndre Levy (knee) and offensive tackle Corey Robinson (ankle) out for Sunday.

Robinson, a mid-week addition to the injury report, had played as the Lions' sixth offensive lineman most of the season. Levy, Ngata and Ebron have all missed multiple games.

Top tight end Jordan Reed won't play for Washington (4-2) because of a concussion, and wide receiver DeSean Jackson is questionable with a shoulder injury.

The Lions (3-3) have won two straight games after a 1-3 start.
