It was the “dress rehearsal” game tonight, and we got our first look at Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford this season. We also got a good look at the Lions first-round draft pick, tight end T.J. Hockenson.
Hockenson showed signs of his potential and he looked pretty impressive during the first half. He caught three passes on four targets for 52 yards. He also had one drop. Stafford threw his sidearm throw, and he uncharacteristically was unable to hang on.
Because of this, he’s Lions Wire Player of The Game. Hopefully we’ll be able to see a lot more coming from him this year.
