Lions' Matthew Stafford suffers bruised hand in loss to Ravens

BALTIMORE _ Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford left in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 44-20 loss to the Baltimore Ravens with a right hand injury.

Stafford appeared to have his right hand stepped on by Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs when he threw a late interception.

Lions coach Jim Caldwell said postgame Stafford's hand is bruised but not broken.

Stafford completed a team-record 20 straight passes at one point, but also committed two turnovers and bobbled another snap that knocked the Lions out of field-goal range.

Stafford left immediately for the locker room after his injury and was replaced by Jake Rudock, who threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown on his first series.

Stafford finished 24 of 29 passing for 292 yards and one touchdown.
