Brisbane coach Chris Fagan says criticism of Joe Daniher's finishing is nothing new and that he's happy with the key forward's form at the Lions.
Ex-Essendon star Lloyd has kicked 17.15 in his first 10 AFL games for the Lions, prompting retired Bombers champion Matthew Lloyd to voice a concern Daniher's inaccuracy could "haunt" Brisbane in a big final.
Fagan dismissed that concern, however, saying Daniher was no different to any other forward in the competition and brings plenty to the in-form Lions beyond just simple goalkicking numbers.
"There's been chats about Joe Daniher's goalkicking ever since he played AFL football," Fagan said.
"He misses the odd set shot just like everybody else does, but it seems to get highlighted.
"I sort of looked at last week's game and saw that Joe Danaher had 11 score involvements and played a pretty good game.
"Goalkicking, it's something that he is constantly working on and trying to get better at, as are all of our forwards - probably as are all the forwards in the AFL."
The Lions are on a six-game winning run heading into Saturday's home clash with GWS at the Gabba.
Fagan said he's unlikely to change the line-up that beat Richmond by 28 points last weekend, but some of his team's injured stars are closing in on a return including Brownlow Medallist Lachie Neale.
"We do have Noah Answerth (groin) returning, playing in the reserves," Fagan said.
"Jarrod Berry (groin) looks like he's improved a bit this week so there's good hope for post the bye.
"Lachie Neale's (ankle) been running around a fair bit and trying to stake his claims for next week.
"So we've got a few that are on the mend, that are getting close, but we feel that the group that played last week did a good job and we'll continue with them."
The Lions confirmed on Thursday injured forward Cam Rayner had signed a two-year contract extension, tying him to the club until the end of 2025.
