Lions check out WR Tyre Brady and other prospects at Marshall pro day

Wide receiver Tyre Brady was the feature attraction for the scouts in attendance at the Marshall Thundering Herd pro day. The Detroit Lions were among the NFL teams making the trip to Huntington to check out Brady and the rest of the prospects.

The 6-3, 211-pound Brady had a rough workout. His 40 time of 4.74 seconds is abysmal for a wideout and also out of character; Brady was clocked as the second-fastest WR during the practice action at the Senior Bowl, and his game tape revealed a much faster (though not more than average for a wideout) prospect. He did not run at the NFL combine earlier this month.

Safety Malik Gant only ran the 40 after he did do the full workout at the combine. He was timed at 4.65. Gant is a big-time hitter of a box safety.
