Lions-Bills preseason Week 3 game will be nationally televised

We don’t yet know who the Lions first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft is, but that player will make his national debut in preseason Week 3. Detroit’s home contest against the Buffalo Bills is one of three games in that week that will be nationally televised.

The NFL revealed the preseason television schedule in a press release. The Lions and Bills will play on Friday, August 23rd at Ford Field and the game will be nationally broadcast on CBS. The traditional “dress rehearsal” game will go down in primetime, 8 p.m. ET.

Buffalo is a frequent foe in the exhibition season.  The Lions lead the all-time preseason series 24-12-1.
