Brisbane coach Chris Fagan has no concern Joe Daniher will let the occasion get to him when he faces his former AFL club Essendon for the first time on Saturday.
The Lions have slipped to a 1-3 record after their loss to the Western Bulldogs last weekend ended a three-week Victorian road trip.
Bombers coach Ben Rutten has already said his team won't be focusing any extra attention on their former star man Daniher when they play the Lions at the Gabba.
And Fagan is confident the 27-year-old key forward won't be doing anything more than he is expected to.
"Joe's a pretty steady character. He's not overly emotional around the club," Fagan said.
"I think he's looking forward to the challenge. He's just one of 22 that are ready to go out and get the job done tomorrow night."
That job is getting the Lions' top-four aspirations back on track after a start to the year that included an opening-round loss at home to Sydney.
Fagan isn't hitting any panic buttons however, arguing his team's best form is not far off.
"We won most of those parts of the game last week," Fagan said.
"It was a bit disappointing not to come away with a closer result or a better result but when it came down to it, it was our ball use mostly and the fact their big guys were able to take some big marks that we didn't do at the other end.
"It's a funny one ... we're probably slightly off, but not too far off. We feel like our best form is just around the corner and hopefully that can come before tomorrow night."
Fagan also dismissed concerns Lachie Neale needs a break as he deals with a back injury, saying the Brownlow Medallist is "pretty much close" to full fitness and had completed a full week of training.
Brisbane have recalled key forward Dan McStay after he recovered from a knee injury, while Callum Ah Chee and Jaxon Prior were also included in the 22.
Deven Robertson, Tom Fullarton and Thomas Berry were dropped.
Essendon welcome back rebounding defender Mason Redman from a hamstring injury, while Zach Reid has been named for his AFL debut.
Matt Guelfi and Brandon Zerk-Thatcher were omitted.
