Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!: The final ‘Wicked’ trailer will bring the tears

Wicked: For Good has everything working for it. As someone who loved the original musical, I knew that going into the “Act 2” movie, I was going to have the time of my life because I think Act 2 has the best songs. Which the final trailer for Wicked: For Good highlights.

Many know the titular song of the sequel, “For Good,” but Act 2 of the show also has “No Good Deed,” which the trailer features heavily this time around. Not to mention my beloved “As Long As You’re Mine,” between Elphaba and Fiyero. All of it makes Act 2 a strong finish to the show and Elphaba and Glinda’s story.

In the final trailer, we can see the struggle that Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Glinda (Ariana Grande) have with each other after what the Wizard (Jeff Goldblum) did. But we also get to see some ties to The Wizard of Oz as well with a more in-depth look at the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion. All while packing the emotional punch of “For Good” underscoring each scene.

And it should have fans excited to see what happens next after the first film ended on “Defying Gravity.” With musicals, a cliffhanger after Act 1 is great because it’ll have the audience talking during intermission. When you’re making two movies, putting them out over a year apart, it leads to fans really wanting to see what happens to our favorite characters next!

There is a lot to be excited about with Wicked: For Good. The musical itself has a lot of lore for the Wicked Witch of the West that fans didn’t know and getting to see Grande and Erivo bring Glinda and Elphaba’s friendship to life once more is going to be exciting for fans.

But if you are worried about whether or not Wicked: For Good will captivate you in the same way the first film did, know that Act 2 has the best songs.
