Lioness Jill Scott set to earn millions after I'm a Celebrity as TV offers flood in

Footballer Jill Scott is set to earn millions after proving a hit with viewers on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity.

The bookies’ favourite for tomorrow's final, Jill is set to be the winner whichever way the votes go after an avalanche of offers.

She follows in the footsteps of 2018 winner Harry Redknapp, who cashed in with book and advertising deals.

Offers already being pitched for Jill include TV shows and big money endorsements.

The 35-year-old midfielder, who has 161 caps for the national side, became an icon of women’s football after her part in England’s Euros victory this summer.

But her jungle antics have made her a household name, as well as winning over fellow stars including rugby ace Mike Tindall, Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner and comic Seann Walsh.

Now businesses and TV production companies are queuing up to work with her.

A source close to the player said: “Jill is being loved by the audience, as we hoped she would be. People are seeing the funny and courageous person that fans of women’s football already know and love.

“The response has been incredible – Jill will be able to pick and choose what she does next.

“Her team has been bombarded with offers. She also has her coffee shop in Manchester and likes to work there, but she’ll struggle to fit in shifts with the amount of work on offer elsewhere.”

She already has deals with Walkers crisps and Starling Bank, and she and her teammates got a £55,000 bonus for their epic Euros win this summer. She is being paid around £120,000 for her jungle stint.

Bookies Ladbrokes last night had Jill as 4/11 odds-on favourite to win.

Asked this week on ITV’s Lorraine what it would mean to win, Jill’s partner Shelly Unitt said: “She’d be grateful and humble and ecstatic, but she’s not in it to win. It’s about the experience.

“She’s been in football 16 years, been tied down to restrictions, and now being able to do something like this… she’ll enjoy every minute.”

Before going into camp, Jill admitted: “I haven’t even thought about winning. I’ve got a tattoo on my wrist that says, ‘Step by step, day by day, mile by mile’ – Whitney Houston lyrics, and something I’ve always lived my life by.

“Tomorrow is never guaranteed – I’ll just always give my all for that day.”
