A wildlife photographer captured amazing video of a lioness giving a lion a loud earful as they square off on a dirt road at the Gir National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary in Gurjarat, western India.
The wildlife sanctuary was established to protect Asiatic lions, but in this video by Zubin Ashara, it appears that the lion is in need of protection from the lioness. Clearly the King of the Jungle got his comeuppance from the Queen. Turn up the volume if you dare:
Not surprisingly the video prompted all kinds of husband-wife jokes on Twitter. Here’s a sample:
