Three massive names have been announced as the headliners for the first ever York Festival, happening in June 2020.
The festival will be a three-day event, and already the promoters have revealed a host of names set to take to the stage at York Sports Club.
Madness will headline the opening night, on Friday, June 19. Westlife, who recenlty performed at the Leeds First Direct Arena on their 20th anniversary tour, will top the bill on the Saturday, while international superstar Lionel Richie will see the festival out on the final night.
Tickets for each night at York Festival go on sale on Thursday via AXS.com, while three-day passes are already available to buy.

Director Peter Taylor said: “This is the very first York Festival so we wanted to make this a very special debut year.
“To have Lionel Richie, Westlife and Madness as headliners – alongside many other brilliant chart-topping artists – is a real coup. We feel this is the perfect line-up for the first year of what we hope will become a major annual event in this wonderful and historic city."
