International superstar Lionel Richie has announced a gig at Cardiff Castle for 2020.
The American chart-topper follows in the footsteps of other big names like Manic Street Preachers, Paul Weller, The Killers and Nile Rodgers by performing at the landmark in the Welsh capital.
The gig will take place on Sunday August 2.
Lionel is one of only two songwriters in history to have number one records for nine consecutive years. He has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide and has received some of the biggest awards in the industry, including an Oscar, a Golden Globe and four Grammy Awards.

His mega-hits include Endless Love, Lady, Truly, All Night Long, Easy, Stuck on You, Hello and Dancing on the Ceiling.
He was also a judge on ABC’s American Idol for the last two seasons and has returned to the ‘Judge’s’ chair for the 2019-20 season.
