Lionel Messi to Aberdeen? Dave Cormack shares bizarre video of Barcelona superstar

With Lionel Messi's future up in the air at Barcelona after their 8-2 defeat against Bayern Munich, everyone is wondering where he will go next.

The Argentina superstar is reportedly looking to get out of the club after their thumping, with boss Quique Sentien being axed on Monday night.

It was no surprise he was let go but Messi leaving the club would shock the world after 17 years with the Catalan giants.

It's clear Barcelona are going backwards and the latest suggestion was that he might head to Italy to sign for Inter Milan.

But could he, in fact, be heading to Scotland?

Alex McLeish once famously tried to sign him for Rangers on loan from Barcelona, and now Aberdeen have joked about signing him.

Club chairman Dave Cormack has shared an hilarious video of Messi speaking about his 'love' for Derek McInnes men and his dream of scoring in Scotland's North East.

The video is dubbed over with Messi speaking in an Aberdonian accent: “Well I’d love to sign for the Dons, they’re the greatest team I’ve ever seen. To score at Pittodrie would just be a dream come true.”

The famous saying for Messi critics has always been whether he could do it on a cold Tuesday night in Stoke.

Maybe now it needs changed to 'Could he do it on a plastic pitch in West Lothian?'.
