Lionel Messi has said the chance of playing alongside the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar at Paris Saint-Germain will be an “incredible experience”.
The Argentine has been addressing the media after his stunning free transfer to PSG was completed on Tuesday.
Messi has waited little time to find his new club after it was confirmed that Barcelona would be unable to extend his contract.
He previously admitted he would have liked to stay at the Camp Nou, only to see financial restrictions placed on the Catalans make an extension impossible.
PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino will now be able to call upon one of the most fearsome attacking trios on the planet, with Messi joining Mbappe and former Barca teammate Neymar.
It’s not just that pair who the 34-year-old is excited to link up with after a summer which has seen Gini Wijnaldum, Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Achraf Hakimi also arrive at the Parc des Princes.
Asked about playing with his new teammates, he told reporters: "It is really crazy and I am really happy about that.
"Sharing the day-to-day life with them and the squad, the team is incredible and I really want to train and compete now because I am going to be playing with the best players. It is an incredible experience."
He will also link up with Marco Verratti this season, a player many anticipate could be the Xavi or Andres Iniesta in their ‘Barca reboot’.
On the Italian, he said: “Without a doubt he showed it. He is one of the best players in his position. We wanted him at Barca. He is a phenomenon.”
Neymar greeted the arrival of Messi with a video on his Instagram captioned ‘back together’, while Donnarumma said: “I’m happy if he arrives in Paris. He’s the strongest in the world. I’m moved and happy to have him in the team.”

The Ligue 1 season got underway last weekend and PSG got off to winning ways with goals from Hakimi and Mauro Icardi earning them a 2-1 win over Troyes.
All eyes will focus on when Messi could make his debut for Pochettino’s side, although the forward has warned it could take a few weeks to get up to speed.
Messi played a key role in Argentina winning the Copa America last month and has yet to start any form of pre-season training.
“I was on holidays and it is very new. I spoke yesterday with technical staff,” Messi continued.
"Maybe I need a pre-season myself. I am going to begin to train and I hope I can play as soon as I can.
"But I cannot answer exactly the question.”
