“Leave a good first impression” are the common words everybody is told ahead of their first day at work.
Well, it appears these words have rung true with Lionel Messi as he reportedly turned up for training with Pairs Saint-Germain two hours early on Thursday as he looks to put his heartbreaking departure from Barcelona behind him.
The former Argentinean star put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the French giants this week.
“The moment I arrived here, I felt very happy, and I really want to begin the training sessions. I want it to be quick,” Messi said during a press conference.

"My only will now is to begin the training sessions. I want to work with the staff and team-mates and begin this new moment of my life.
"I have this will to play. I am really impatient. I still want to win, as I did the first moment of my career.
"I feel this club is ready to fight for all the trophies. This is my goal. I want to keep growing and keep winning titles and that is why I came to this club."

After his arrival he shared a warm embrace with Kylian Mbappe, before going to greet fellow Argentine and current PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The Argentinean captain was not hollow in his words as his early showing has proved.
Training at the Parisians normally begins at 11:00am but the former Barcelona hitman showed up at 9:15 to get used to his surroundings.
It is unknown as to whether the 34-year-old took part in a group session with his new teammates or if it was just an individual session.
Messi had a very busy summer having captained Argentina to the Copa America title in early July.
Much was made of the final with Messi having to face off against his former Barcelona colleague and now PSG strike partner Neymar in the final.
However, Angel Di Maria first-half strike was enough to secure Argentina’s first title in 28 years – it was also Messi’s first ever international honour as Argentina captain.

"The happiness is immense, many times I dreamed of this,” an emotional Messi said after Argentina overcame Brazil.
"I had a lot of confidence in this group. It is a group of very good people, who always push forward, who never complain about anything."
Messi’s arrival has likely ended what has been a spectacular transfer window for PSG.
They have also beat Chelsea to the £54 million signature of dynamic wing back Achraf Hakimi, as well as the free-signings of Georginio Wijnaldum from Liverpool, and most interestingly, former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos.
Gianluigi Donnarumma also moved to PSG from AC Milan on a free transfer.
The towering Italian joins the Parisians after an incredible Euro 2020 where his penalty saves from Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka won the tournament for Italy.
