The Premier League transfer window remains in full swing - and it’s not just Chelsea who are getting deals done this summer.
Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester City and Manchester United all feature heavily in today’s Premier League rumours as those clubs look to close the gap between themselves and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool ahead of this term.
Leeds United have, themselves, made nine signings this summer and there could still be more to come.
With that in mind, here is a round-up of the day's very latest transfer rumours from across the Premier League.
Lionel Messi still keen on Manchester City move
Barcelona legend Lionel Messi is still keen on making a move to Manchester City this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
La Liga have confirmed that Ronald Koeman’s side DO hold a €700m release clause over the Argentine, despite Messi’s claims that he can activate a clause in his contract that would see him leave the club for free.
But despite the blow, Messi is keen to start a new chapter after a five-year run without Champions League glory at Barcelona, says Romano.
La Liga say triggering that massive €700m release clause is “the only way out”.
Arsenal plot double Brentford raid
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are looking at launching a double swoop for Brentford duo Said Benrahma and David Raya.
That’s according to a report by 90min, who claim that the Gunners are looking at Championship talent ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
Raya is being eyed as a potential replacement for Emiliano Martinez, the report claims, while Benrahma, who is said to be on Marcelo Bielsa's radar at Leeds United, will add some depth and firepower to the Gunners’ forward line should he make the switch.
Reports elsewhere link Chelsea, West Ham, Crystal Palace and Leeds with moves for the 25-year-old winger.
Donny van de Beek close to Manchester United switch
Donny van de Beek has already told his Ajax teammates that he is joining Manchester United this summer, claim reports in Spain.
The attacking midfielder, 23, has been linked with a number of clubs this summer including Barcelona, Real Madrid and Tottenham.
But according to reports in Spanish by Diario Sport, Van de Beek has bid his teammates farewell and will fly to Manchester next week.
