Lionel Messi could LEAVE PSG in the summer as former Barcelona star drops transfer bombshell

A former Barcelona player has sensationally claimed that Lionel Messi could leave Paris Saint-Germain after just one season.

The Argentine superstar left Barça last summer after the Catalan club could not afford to register his new contract.

Messi opted to join Ligue 1 giants PSG, joining up with Kylian Mbappe and his former team-mate Neymar.

The Ballon d'Or has hit five goals in five Champions League games for his new club, but scored just once in 11 league appearances.

Rumours have emerged of his family being unhappy in the French capital, and now former Barcelona player Lobo Carrasco has claimed his stay could last just one year.

The ex Oviedo boss believes that Messi is not enjoying his time in France, and only winning the Champions League would make the move worth it.

Carrasco said on El Chiringuito: "Messi will always miss the 'modus vivendi' he had in Barcelona.

"If he succeeds, which means winning the Champions League, he could extend his stay for another year.

"If PSG don't win the Champions League then this year is going to be a long one.

"I don't think he regrets his decision in a sporting sense, but on a personal level he realised (he made a mistake)."
