Vikings defensive tackle Linval Joseph is one of nine Vikings who are not expected to play against the Saints in Friday night’s preseason opener in New Orleans.
Also not expected to play is cornerback Mike Hughes, cornerback Kris Boyd, defensive end Ade Aruna, tackle Brian O’Neill, tackle Aviante Collins, tight end David Morgan, defensive end Tashawn Bower and defensive tackle Shamar Stephen.
No real surprises here. These are players who have dealt with injuries in camp recently.
Rookie running back Alexander Mattison, who appeared to be dealing with some sort of injury, will play.
