Armadale Thistle have signed Linlithgow Rose captain Ruari MacLennan as they look to strengthen their East of Scotland Conference X promotion bid.
The veteran leaves Prestonfield having served a decade with the club over two separate spells and teams up with long-term former Rose team-mate Colin Strickland at Volunteer Park.
MacLennan first joined Linlithgow in 2010 and stayed with the club ever since - bar a single season stint at Bo’ness United.
The 33-year-old was part of the 2012/13 East Region Superleague winning side and netted for the Rose in a last-16 Scottish Cup defeat away to top flight Ross County in 2016.
His new side currently sit third in the Conference X table during their first season in the senior ranks and are coming off a last-gasp home loss to Whitburn at the weekend.
Meanwhile, the Rose have appointed Gary Thom as their new club captain with Jack Ogilvie and Connor McMullan deputising. Former Livingston youth product Ogilvie has also penned a contract extension that ties him to the club until 2024.
