Linlithgow Rose boss Brown Ferguson targets three more arrivals following Paul Willis signing

Linlithgow Rose boss Brown Ferguson says he's targeting three new arrivals after inking midfielder Paul Willis to a two-year deal.

The former Dunfermline Athletic man featured 23 times for SPFL League Two side Stirling Albion last term and becomes the second midfielder with vast league experience to sign for the Prestonfield club in the last few days after Sean Dickson signed on the dotted line last week.

Ferguson told the West Lothian Courier that his new arrival's creativity will be vital for his side.

He commented: "Paul is someone who has a tremendous pedigree, including playing games in the Premiership.

“He’s an attack-minded midfielder who we’re hoping will create lots of chances. He has intelligence in abundance.

“His scoring record has been not too bad during his career but we’re looking for that to be an area in which he can improve.

"Hopefully signing Paul, and the other guys that we've been able to bring in, excite the fan base and show them of our intentions this season."

He added: “I’m looking for another three guys to come in but they have to be of the ability to start games, we’re not looking to just add numbers to the squad.

“We’re after a goalkeeper, a defensive-minded central midfielder and a number nine who’s an out-and-out centre forward.

“We have made an offer for a midfielder but we’re waiting on a response so we’ll see what happens on that front.”
