Linlithgow golfer Stephen Gallacher will join an elite list when he tees off in his 600th European Tour event on Thursday.
The 47-year-old will become just the 14th golfer to reach that milestone when he gets underway the AVIV Dubai Championship.
It’s been a long journey for the 2014 Ryder Cup winner, who has been a permanent and well-respected figure on the Tour for 25 years.
There has been plenty of highlights during his illustrious career - winning four titles, the last of which was 2019 Hero Indian Open with his son Jack as caddie. Along with being part of the victorious Ryder Cup team on Scottish soil in 2014, he also claimed back-to-back Dubai Desert Classic titles in 2013 and 2014, having won his first Tour event at St Andrews in 2004.
While injuries have curtailed him at times, he’s showing no signs of packing away the clubs just yet after reaching his special milestone.
