Linlithgow Academy set for Scottish Cup final

Linlithgow Academy are going for a second straight Scottish Cup title as their S3 boys aim to replicate the success of the seniors last season.

The school’s under-15 side will take on St John’s High School from Dundee in the showpiece event at East Fife’s Bayview Stadium on June 9.

Delighted coach Gary MacBrayne said: “It really speaks volumes about the school and the football programme that two completely separate teams and age groups can reach the cup final in consecutive years. It’s an amazing achievement to have continuation of that success.”

He added: “It is a really talented group of players that includes a few who are playing pro youth and the school and local community have really rallied around them. Hopefully we can get a good support on the day and win a trophy for the school again.”
