Linfield striker Michael O'Connor is being linked with a move to Big Two rivals Glentoran.
O'Connor hasn't played for the Blues since joining Waterford on loan back in July as part of the deal which saw Bastien Hery move to Windsor Park.
The 21-year-old featured as a triallist for Scottish club Hibernian back in November, with a number of clubs across the water monitoring the Republic of Ireland Under 21 forward's situation.
Blues boss David Healy recently said O'Connor would enjoy a rest after the League of Ireland season finished, before assessing the striker's future come January.
Glentoran are understood to be keen on signing the player - whose Blues contract expires in the summer.
The East Belfast club have reportedly met Linfield's £10,000 asking price for the former Shamrok Rovers and Finn Harps man.
If the deal doesn't go through this month, the Glens could secure O'Connor - whose brother Ciaran recently joined the Oval club - on a pre-contract agreement.
