Linfield 's Champions League opponents have signed a Polish winger who impressed at the 2016 Euro finals.
Legia Warsaw announced the signing of 23-year-old winger Bartosz Kapustka from Leicester City on Thursday.
Kapustka has agreed a two-year deal, with an option for a further year.
Signed in 2016 on the back of an impressive showing at the Euro finals in France, Kapustka made just three senior appearances for Leicester.
He has not played a first-team game for any club in more than 17 months after damaging his knee ligaments on loan at OH Leuven in March last year.
Most of his Leicester appearances came with the Foxes' Development Squad, and he made his first team debut in an FA Cup win away to Everton in January 2017.
Kapustka has also been out on loan with SC Freiburg and OH Leuven during his time at Leicester.
The Premier League club said: "The Football Club would like to thanks Bartosz for his contribution and wish him well for the future."
Kapustka - who played for Poland against Northern Ireland at th 2016 Euro finals - told Legia’s official website: “I've never been so hungry for football as now. If I’m healthy, everything will be fine.
“The transfer was carried out very meticulously. I was convinced of the move, and so was the club."
Linfield travel to Poland next Monday ahead of the first qualifying round tie on Tuesday.
The Blues received a bye into the round after preliminary round opponents KF Drita were told they had to forfeit the game after two of their players tested positive for Covid-19.
