Linfield defender Ethan Boyle has contract terminated by mutual consent

Linfield have announced the departure of Ethan Boyle.

The defender signed for the Blues in November 2019 in an 18-month deal but struggled for regular first-team football at Windsor Park.

The 24-year-old has had his contract terminated by mutual consent, the club confirmed on Thursday.

Blues boss David Healy told Linfield's website: “I want to advise our supporters that agreement has been reached with Ethan Boyle for his contract to be terminated by mutual consent with immediate effect.

"I want to thank Ethan for his contribution during his time at the club and I want to extend every best wish to him for all he does in the future.”

Boyle made just nine appearances for the Blues since joining 14 months ago.

This season the right-back played four times, his last appearance coming in a 4-1 Co Antrim Shield defeat to Larne back in November.
