LInfield boss David Healy confirms 'planned procedure' for defender

David Healy has sent Linfield's best wishes to defender Ross Larkin who is set to have a "planned procedure" in hospital next week.

The 22-year-old has made seven appearances for the Blues this season, his most recent coming in last Saturday's 1-1 draw with Warrenpoint Town.

He didn't feature in Friday night's 1-0 win against Larne, a victory which striker Christy Manzinga dedicated to the former Portadown centre-half.

Linfield manager Healy updated fans on Larkin's planned hospital visit and hopes the defender has a "speedy recovery".

Healy told Linfield's website: “I want to advise our supporters that our young defender Ross Larkin will be going into hospital in the week ahead for a planned procedure.

"Everyone at the club sends our very best wishes to Ross for a full and speedy recovery from the procedure and we look forward to welcoming him back to the club at the appropriate time.

"I know all our personnel and supporters will keep Ross in their thoughts and prayers at this time."
