Line up the perfect shot to launch your hero spinning through their enemies in Flick Shot Rogues

Flick Shot Rogues in Future Games Show.

Flick Shot Rogues adds a fresh twist to the turn-based roguelike genre, by combining it with the tactile satisfaction of flicking objects across a table and bouncing them off one another. As seen during the Future Games Show Summer Showcase, it's arriving later this year but you can try the new demo available on Steam right now.

If you've ever played games such as marbles, pool, or snooker (if you're fancy) then the basic concept behind Flick Shot Rogues should be clear from the start – line up a shot on an enemy, then try to launch them or yourself into additional enemies to deal multiple hits in a single move.

While this already provides an element of tactical approach to the challenge of eliminating your foes, the real skill comes into play when you start collecting powerful items, talents, and curses. Each of these is imbued with unique effects than can have a game-changing impact, leading to wildly explosive combo chains that can tear the battlefield apart.

You do need to use this power you wield carefully, as a misfire at the wrong time could lead to your downfall, while curses also have their own inherent risks that could end your run. However, death is not the end and a new journey is never far away, but thanks to the roguelike structure the enemies and rewards you encounter will be reshuffled for each playthrough, so you'll need to adapt your strategy accordingly if you want to conquer the island.

Flick Shot Rogues springs into action on PC later in 2025, but you can wishlist it now on Steam and try out the demo there to get in some practice shots.
