Line of Duty writer Jed Mercurio teases fans with behind-the-scenes spoiler pic

Filming for Line of Duty season six is already in full swing and a show boss has teased fans with a behind-the-scenes spoiler snap, meaning fans don't have long to wait for a fresh dose of cop drama from the BBC One show.

Teasing the brand-new season, writer and showrunner Jed Mercurio shared a behind-the-scenes filming pic from the production.

He couldn't help tease fans with the on-going 'Who is H?' mystery.

Jed posted a snap of the show's stars Martin Compston (Steve) and Vicky McClure (Kate) pointing guns at each other in the middle of the office on Twitter today.

Adrian Dunbar (Ted) - who some fans think could be H - lies “dead” on a chair between them, while a huge white letter H rested on his lifeless body.

In the caption, Jed wrote: "A great first week of filming Line of Duty Series six.

"Here's a publicity shot that's been approved 100% spoiler-free by ⁦BBC press."

Starring Neil Morrissey as Nigel Morton, Martin Compston as Steve Arnott and Vicky McClure as Kate Fleming, the past five seasons have been a hit in the UK and abroad.

Excited fans loved the cheeky teaser snap ahead of the new season, with one replying: "H for hilarious."

Another joked: "Looks pretty spoiler-free to me."
