The cast of Line Of Duty has admitted that they 'don't know' whether the show will return after this weekend's finale.
BBC stars Vicky McClure and Martin Compston, who play Kate Fleming and DS Steve Arnott in the hit crime drama, revealed that there was uncertainty about whether more seasons will follow.
Their interview comes days before the viewers finally learn who H might be in the finale of Line Of Duty Season Six that airs this Sunday.
Chatting to Jonathan Ross about the latest series on The Jonathan Ross Show, Vicky revealed that the cast were just as in the dark about future seasons as everyone else.

“Genuinely don’t [know]. We don’t know anything, not just saying it for effect,” Vicky told the presenter when quizzed about a potential season seven.
Martin then went on to add that the show's creator Jed Mercurio often takes some time off after a season comes to an end.
“That’s nothing different for us," Martin added. "Jed always takes months after… there’s stuff above our pay grade, analytics, figures and all that kind of thing that comes in. He always takes time off.

The actor also suggested that this is all part of the natural story arc and hinted that if it came to an end there might be no more seasons.
Martin continued: "But I think it is important to say, I think this natural story arc that we’ve been on for the last six years…”
“That’s coming to an end,” Jonathan jumped in.

“We won’t come back just for the sake of it," Martin went on. "That’s for sure. We’ll come back if there’s a story to tell. But, so as well, if it ends well maybe sometimes it is best to leave it. But, so, genuinely we don’t know.”
Fans are eagerly awaiting the much-anticipated finale of Line Of Duty to air this Sunday. As well as hopefully unearthing the final identity of H there are a host of revelations expected to be revealed in the thrilling show.
The Jonathan Ross Show airs on Saturday 1st May at 9.35pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
