Line of Duty star Vicky McClure to read CBeebies bedtime story on our screens tonight

Line of Duty star Vicky McClure will be on our screens reading a children's bedtime story - on her 37th birthday.

The Bafta-winning actress will appear on CBeebies at 6.50pm on Friday (May 8), reading a story about a robot getting ready for bed.

The episode, part of the regular CBeebies evening Bedtime Stories programme, airs on the day she turns 37.

You can watch it on YouView, Freeview and Sky - or watch it back on BBC iPlayer.

The Wollaton-born actress, also known for fronting BBC One's emotional documentary Our Dementia Choir, told Nottinghamshire Live about how she planned to celebrate her birthday last year - and where she likes to go out in the city.

At the time, she said: "I'm one of those where you can buy me anything and I'll be really grateful for it because who doesn't like a present?"
