Line of Duty star Vicky McClure teases new 'high octane' TV show Trigger Point in Tweet

Line of Duty's Vicky McClure has teased the script for a new thriller TV show which will feature on ITV in the future.

The hit BBC drama was tied up earlier this year when the identity of 'H' was finally revealed, after the series won the hearts of the nation since it began in 2012.

Vicky, who lives in Nottinghamshire, has now provided a little teaser as to what she is working on next.

Coined 'Trigger Point' and commissioned by ITV, the new thriller series was first announced back in February of last year.

ITV says it will be a "high octane" thriller, written by Daniel Brierley and produced by Line of Duty creator Jed Mercurio’s HTM Television.

It will be set in contemporary London and focus on the work of a bomb disposal squad called 'Expo'.

In a tweet on Monday, May 17, Vicky said: "This has been waiting in the wings a while, great to read through with a brilliant cast today.

"Daniel’s written an amazing script and great to be back in business with Jed Mercurio."

The tweet featured a glimpse of a script titled 'Trigger Point: Episode One'.

Vicky is set to take on the role of Lana Washington, an experienced bomb disposal expert, who is pushed to breaking point by a terror campaign in the capital.

ITV's Head of Drama, Polly Hill, added: "Trigger Point has you on the edge of your seat from the start.

"It's a brilliant script by Daniel and I can't believe this is his first commission. I'm delighted to be working with Jed who knows better than anyone how to bring these thrillers to screen and Vicky is the perfect Lana.

"It's a fabulous team and an exciting show for ITV."
