Line of Duty star Stephen Graham in award blunder at the BAFTAs

He played an intense undercover cop in Line of Duty, but Stephen Graham was clearly thinking about his stomach when he presented an award at the BAFTA TV Awards.

The acclaimed actor took to the stage with his co-star Martin Compston, who plays DS Steve Arnott in the BBC crime drama, but there was a blunder when he went to pull out his glasses to read out the winner, and withdrew a Kit Kat from his pocket instead.

A laughing Stephen explained that he was 'starving' and kept the chocolate wafer snack to keep him going during the lengthy ceremony.

"We're starving, we haven't anything to eat for ages," he said.

"I've just nicked a Kit Kat. We're not going to get any food for two hours."

The final episode of Line Of Duty was watched by more than nine million people when it aired on Sunday, May 5 in an epic 90-minute grand finale.
