Line of Duty star Ryan Pilkington could be headed for the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom, according to bookies.
Gregory Piper, who played the most hated policeman in Britain, is one of the favourites to take to the dancefloor this winter.
Last week's episode saw Ryan shot dead during a tense scene, with viewers thrilled to see his demise.
The character was despised by the British public due to his murdering and corrupt ways.
But his exit from the hit BBC show opens him up for new projects and now bookies are predicting he could be part of the next season of Strictly.
Other stars including Vicky McClure and Martin Compston are also tipped to be part of the Strictly cast, priced at 11/10 and 9/2 respectively.
And Adrian Dunbar, who plays Ted Hastings, is another favourite to pick up his dancing shoes, as he's priced at 5/2.
Betway’s Chad Yeomans said: “Following PC Ryan Pilkington's dramatic exit from Line of Duty, actor Gregory Piper has found his way onto our Strictly Come Dancing Contestants Market.
"The English actor is priced at 8/1 to be quickstepping into the Strictly Ballroom this autumn.
"Piper isn’t the only Line of Duty star in the mix with Vicky McClure and Martin Compston priced at 11/10 and 9/2 respectively to be joining the class of 2021.”
*Line of Duty continues at 9pm on BBC1 on Sunday
