Line of Duty star Craig Parkinson asks Manchester neighbours to help find missing cat Oreo

UPDATED: Craig posted to say Oreo had thankfully been found.

Line of Duty star Craig Parkinson is asking Manchester city centre residents to keep an eye out for his cat.

The black and white tabby, called Oreo, went left home on Tuesday morning (June 1) and has not been seen since.

Craig - who played DI Matthew ‘Dot’ Cotton in the BBC series - is asking Ancoats residents in particular to look out for the tabby.

He has asked anyone who sees his microchipped cat to “scoop him up” if they see him.

He tweeted: “I know it’s hard to tell from this snap but little ‘Oreo’ snuck out this morning and legged it.

“Most of Ancoats looking for him. He’s only little.

“If anyone sees him. Please let us know.”

He later added: “Can all my MCR mates please RT this. Even if you’re not central based. Twitter innit.

“Hopefully we can get the word out and I can stop sweating & walking around with a dish full of cat food shouting ‘Oreo’ & looking under cars.”

He wrote: “If any MCR folk can RT this, better still, Ancoats and NQ mates. Of you see him. Scoop him up and let me know. I’ll be shaking cat food and shouting his name around my street and beyond. Thanks”
