Line of Duty is set to return to our screens in early 2021, meaning that fans of the show won't have long to wait before they get the chance to watch Season 6.
Radio Times reports that the BBC has confirmed the sixth season of the show will air before the end of March 2021.
The news was shared as part of a series of announcements about BBC's new and returning dramas, ahead of Christmas and the New Year.
TV critic and BBC radio host Scott Bryan also confirmed the announcement on Twitter on Tuesday evening, writing: "BBC confirms 'returning favourites' such as Doctor Who, Line of Duty, Call the Midwife, Drag Race, A Perfect Planet (Attenborough) airing before March next year."
This means that - all being well - it'll be just four more months before Line of Duty is on our screens.
The news comes after the cast of Line of Duty were spotted filming in Belfast last month.
The crew were pictured filming a scene on the Cavehill Road in North Belfast, while they were also spotted filming an intense scene in the Cregagh estate a week later.
Filming for Line of Duty season 6 was put on hold back in March, due to Coronavirus.
Leading cast members Vicky McClure, Martin Compston and Adrian Dunbar will all return for season 6 of Line of Duty.
As well as that, last November it was revealed that Scottish actress Kelly Macdonald (Trainspotting, Boardwalk Empire) will be joining the cast in series 6.
The BBC said that McDonald will play Detective Chief Inspector Joanne Davidson, "the senior investigating officer of an unsolved murder, whose unconventional conduct raises suspicions at AC-12".
