Line of Duty's Vicky McClure has a very famous partner and you probably never realised

If you're a fan of BBC's Line of Duty then you'll definitely recognise Vicky McClure.

The British actress plays DI Kate Fleming in the hit-show - one of the key members of the AC-12 bent-copper seeking trio.

Vicky is best known for this role but other TV fans may know her from when she starred as Lol in Channel 4's 'This is England' and Karen White in ITV's Broadchurch.

She also stars in the Amazon action series Alex Rider as Mrs Jones, which has been filming in Bristol.

But what Line of Duty fans may not know is that Vicky also has a famous fiancé.

As MyLondon reports, Vicky is engaged to Welsh director Jonny Owen.

Jonny is a jack of all trades having worked as a producer, voiceover, actor, musician and comedian.

As an actor, he has appeared in TV shows including 'Shameless', 'Murphy's Law' and 'My Family'. In 2014 he played Jack Thornes' in the series 'Glue' on E4.

He also won a Welsh BAFTA in 2007 for the documentary 'The Aberfan Disaster', which he co-produced, and he is also a director at Nottingham Forest football club.

In his late teens he was even in the 1990s indie band 'The Pocket Devils' as bass player and lead singer/songwriter.

Vicky and Jonny met in 2013 after he cast her in the comedy film Svengali. The couple now live in Nottingham together and announced their engagement on December 28, 2017.

Speaking about their relationship Vicky said: "We literally lived together from a week of meeting.

"We have basically stayed together from that time until now. We've never lived apart. I am not sure about fate but I couldn't see my life without him.

"When you finally meet someone who gets you, lets you fly, loves you for who you are and you can have that genuine laughter, it's amazing."

Sadly their plans to get married have been pushed back twice - once because of Vicky's hectic work schedule and then because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
