Line of Duty's Rochenda Sandall teases fans they WON'T find out who H is as series concludes

Line of Duty actress Rochenda Sandall has hinted fans might not find out H's identity in this weekend's finale.

The Girlfriends star, who plays Lisa McQueen in the police corruption drama, hinted that the person behind the mysterious nickname may not be revealed because “there is still another series”.

But Sandall – whose character was the mastermind behind the gruesome murder of undercover officer John Corbett – did tell Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby that there will be a “conclusion” this weekend.

“It will certainly have some form of conclusion, but as I’m sure you’re all aware, there’s still another series to go… and there’s lots of details…” she said on This Morning.

When quizzed by Schofield about whether or not H would be revealed, Sandall said: “I can’t tell you that! Come on!”

In the latest episode, fans were left reeling after Superintendent Ted Hastings – played by Adrian Dunbar – was interrogated by new arrival Detective Chief Superintendent Patricia Carmichael.

It can't be...can it? Ted Hastings is well and truly in the frame as H (BBC/World Productions)

Hastings maintained he was being framed as he was put through his paces by Anna Maxwell Martin’s character, with her having been drafted in from outside to aid investigations.

Suspicion of Hastings' potential shady dealings had been mounting throughout series five, with wads of cash being given to him, and the realisation that he – just like H – couldn’t spell "definitely" correctly.

But he was finally reported to his superiors by DS Kate Fleming (Vicky McClure) and DC Steve Arnott (Martin Compston) during the penultimate episode before being put under the spotlight.

The current series will come to an end this Sunday with a 90-minute episode, the longest Line of Duty show ever produced.

While plot details for the finale are being kept under wraps, the BBC has promised “closely guarded secrets” will be revealed.

The BBC is no stranger to extending episodes for series finales, with Jed Mercurio’s other drama, Bodyguard, ending with a 75 minute show last year, as well as Line of Duty’s third series conclusion.

This Morning is on ITV, weekdays at 10:30am. Line of Duty is on BBC One, Sunday at 9pm
