Line of Duty's Maya Sondhi avoided getting drunk with her mates in case she spilled spoilers

Line of Duty star Maya Sondhi has revealed she went to extreme lengths to not spoil the show for its fans.

The TV star played Maneet Bindra for three years until the character was killed off in season five, but she knows some spoilers for the current series as she still talks to the cast.

And Maya, 48, admitted said she tries her very best to keep it all a secret, even avoiding getting drunk with her mates so she doesn't accidentally give anything away.

She told Closer magazine: "Because I still talk to everyone on the show, I know stuff about series six."

Maya revealed that her friends have been asking her for spoilers but she keeps her mouth shut.

She continued: "You have a couple of gins and you're like, 'Oh, I'll tell you if you really want!'"

The actress continued: "It's really hard because I'm the worst for ruining TV programmes for people by accident.

"When it came on I couldn't get drunk around my friends for a while because I just thought, 'I'm going to end up blabbing.'"

Maneet was brutally murdered in the first episode of series five of Line of Duty.

It later emerged that she was killed by Ryan Pilkington, who was killed off in episode five of the current season.

With just one episode of Line of Duty left, fans are still desperate to know who H is.

DCI Marcus Thurwell, played by James Nesbitt, was the latest prime suspect, but he was killed off in the last instalment.
