Line of Duty's Martin Compston had 'one too many' before signing golden Tennent's can

Line of Duty's Martin Compston has admitted he had a few shandies too many before signing a golden Tennent's can from Wellpark brewery.

Martin's admission came after a fan drew attention to the higgledy piggledy signature on the rare golden can of Tennent's which is on display at the Glasgow brewery.

Posting a picture of it in it's glass case, the fan revealed the brewery were awaiting Martin to sign a new can for them.

The fan asked Martin: "@martin_compston what happened here?

"Great honour to get a gold can of Tenants.

"We did the tour and you're a part of it!

"P.s. they are waiting for you to return and sign another can."

Vigil star Martin replied honestly revealing: "I had an absolute nightmare that day was a few pints in right enough, pen was too thick, misjudged the curve."

Fans of the actor were amused by his response and Gary Tank Commander actor Greg McHugh said: "That is amazing. I need to see this in person."

Another fan added: "That’s going to be my new euphemism for when I’m hammered: “I misjudged the curve”.

Someone else chirped: "Looking at that I’d say more than a few."

And another laughed: "Don’t blame the pen."
